Once upon a time, making a splash on the red carpet was largely reserved for the ladies, but recent years have proven that the guys can garner just as much style game. While we all still love the look of a classic, perfectly cut suit, nowadays, it’s not unusual to see gentlemen branching out from basic blazers and tuxes to take some sartorial risks and have a bit of fashionable fun. Need proof? Tonight’s Emmy Awards are just the ticket.
As the creative world hands out awards to the best and the brightest of film and television, there’s sure to be plenty said about the dramatic gowns and showstopping looks on the ladies, but we’d be remiss not to point out the style stars in the men’s section as well. From Nicholas Braun to Lee Jung-jae, there were so many stand out men’s looks stepping down the red carpet, we couldn’t resist shouting out a few of the best. Be they excitingly avant-garde or classically cool, here are the men’s looks we couldn’t get enough of from the 2022 Emmy Awards.
Zegen looked to be taking some mid-century notes from his Marvelous Mrs. Maisel character Joel with this tan and black ensemble.
Braun gave monochrome cool in this all-white ensemble accented with a platinum Fred Leighton Art Deco Diamond Double Clips brooch.
The Emmy nominee severed up a dose of dynamic fashion in a mosaic patterned black and white blazer.
Jamie Tartt might not do shirts on the red carpet, but Ted Lasso star Dunster looked dapper in this burgundy and black blazer.
Far from his sweater-vested What We Do In the Shadows familiar, Guillermo, Guillén wowed in a black-and-blue look with embellished shoulder details.
The Squid Games star looked stunning in a studded suit.
Steve Martin and Martin Short
The Rings of Power actor went for sleek silver with a Richard James Dinner Jacket for his Emmy’s look.
The wrap-style waist of Jimoh’s pale blue suit made for a fun twist on the classic suit style.
The Better Call Saul star looked stylish in a navy suit and shades.
Another bold white suit courtesy of Rogen—we hope no one is having red wine at the after party!
We love a man in gems, like this brooch on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’s Kirby.
Domingo brought glitz from head to toe in this metallic jacquard.
Hoult artfully replaced a traditional tie with a sparkling collar of baubles by Briony Raymond.
Legend added an extra layer to the ecru suit trend with a subtle texture.
