In Sardinia, Dolce & Gabbana and Mytheresa recently hosted an event to showcase their latest collection in Porto Cervo. The 10th annual collaboration between the two brands brought together friends and clients to experience the new capsule collection.
Upon arrival at the Cala di Volpe hotel, guests were immediately immersed in the collection’s inspiration, with the locale’s influence evident in the color palette and silhouettes. The hotel’s setting, with its peachy and pinky facade overlooking the turquoise sea, was a clear reference point for the collection’s mood board.
Almost 100 guests, including Dolce & Gabbana runway regulars and Mytheresa‘s top clients, gathered for sunset cocktails and an al fresco dinner, where they enjoyed local delicacies and took in the traditional Sardinian atmosphere.

Tiffany Hsu, Mytheresa‘s chief buying officer, wore a Dolce-designed outfit that matched the collection, with her personal style said to have inspired the design. As guests enjoyed their meal, Italian opera played in the background, and Alfonso Dolce gave a toast, welcoming everyone to one of his favorite places in Italy.
The evening ended with a build-your-own gelato sundae and a late-night after-party at the hotel’s Matsuhisa outpost. The following afternoon, guests experienced a traditional Sardinian event in the heart of town, with stalls offering local food and drink and folk dancers performing traditional dances.
Francis Belin, Mytheresa‘s CEO, noted that the brand is as much an experience platform as a luxury clothing business, offering unique experiences like this Sardinian event. The event was a celebration of Sardinian culture and the Porto Cervo collection, with guests enjoying local culture and traditional music.

The Porto Cervo collection was heavily influenced by the locale, with its retro yet elegant jet-set feel providing the perfect backdrop for the designs, which included printed silk kaftans, bustiers, and bloomer shorts, as well as crop tops paired with A-line skirts.

The Aga Khan‘s development of the Gallura coastline in the 1960s was a key reference point for the collection, with its authentic, postcard-worthy village feel. They drew inspiration from this unique setting to create a collection that was both elegant and playful.
