Vanessa Hudgens joins Jonas Brothers at Disney event

Vanessa Hudgens and the Jonas Brothers reunited on stage at the 2026 Disney Legends Award ceremony in Anaheim, California, where the trio received one of the company’s highest honors.

Hudgens, who introduced the brothers during the event, wore a mustard-yellow maxi dress from Bottega Veneta. The strapless, boatneck design featured golden teardrop-shaped brooches along the hip and shoulder, adding a structured drape to the jersey-like fabric. She paired the look with brown sandal heels and matching gold jewelry.

The Jonas Brothers coordinated in pinstripe suits—Joe and Nick in gray tones, while Kevin opted for a business-casual style without a jacket.

Nostalgia on Stage

“Seems like just yesterday we were just kids running around the Disney lot,” Hudgens said during the presentation. “And now look at us—we have kids!”

Though Hudgens never starred alongside the brothers in a film or TV show, they shared the same era of Disney Channel fame. Both rose to prominence in the late 2000s through musical franchises—Hudgens in High School Musical (2006–2008) and the Jonas Brothers in Camp Rock (2008–2026). They also appeared together at events like the Disney Channel Games and the 2008 Teen Choice Awards.

This reunion follows other recent Disney alumni gatherings, including a Camp Rock cast reunion earlier this year. The company’s D23 Expo, where the ceremony took place, has increasingly become a hub for these nostalgic moments, often timed with major announcements or award presentations.

It’s a pattern that has become familiar in recent years—former child stars returning to the Disney fold, sometimes for new projects, sometimes just to celebrate the past. The difference now is that many of them are parents themselves, a detail Hudgens didn’t let go unnoticed.

Awards and Legacy

The Disney Legends Award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the company’s legacy. Past recipients include actors like Tom Hanks and directors like George Lucas, though the honor is often given in batches, with multiple inductees in a single year.

The Jonas Brothers’ inclusion reflects their long-standing relationship with Disney, which began with their early music career and expanded into television and film. Their Camp Rock series, which ran for nearly two decades, remains one of the network’s most successful musical franchises.

For Hudgens, the event marked another step in her evolution from Disney Channel star to a more mature public image. Her fashion choices, once defined by casual teen styles, now lean toward high-end designers and sophisticated silhouettes.

The ceremony itself was part of the larger D23 Expo, an annual event that draws thousands of fans. This year’s edition included panels, sneak peeks at upcoming projects, and, as always, plenty of reunions.
