Philippine KPOP Convention
Since 2009, the PKCI has united the biggest Korean pop music fan groups in the country and collaborated with them to stage the biggest Kpop Convention in the world. To date, PKCI has gathered over 16,000 Kpop fans for the biggest gathering of Kpop enthusiasts in the annual “Kpop Convention” held first in Starmall Alabang in 2009, the second in the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in 2010, the third at Megatent Events Venue, Ortigas in 2011 and the fourth at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in 2013.
Not only were the conventions a celebration of passion and love for Kpop music, but were also a celebration of the Filipino trait of bayanihan as all the ticket sales went to a Gawad Kalinga beneficiary site.
The Annual KPOPCON is a day-long festival filled with entertainment, socialization and cultural activities that aims to further promote Korean music and culture in our country by becoming a singular avenue where fans and the rest of the public can interact and share what they love about Korea. Apart from the numerous booths and side-events, there is a program, as well as talent competitions among many others.
Held once or twice a year at some of the trendiest clubs in the metro is the Kpop Night, wherein Kpop fans can party and dance the night away to their favorite beats. This event is usually held in the summer, or in the latter part of each year.
